Why learn SAS clinical programming in the USA and Canada?
BCRI’s SAS clinical programming course for the USA and Canada is a 3-month, live online course. You learn Base SAS, advanced SAS (macros and PROC SQL), CDISC SDTM and ADaM, and TLF reporting on SAS 9.4. Classes are timed to suit North American time zones, and recordings stay open for 3 months. It suits healthcare and life science professionals and new graduates who want to move into clinical programming.
SAS clinical programmers turn raw trial data into the standard datasets and reports that regulators review. In the USA, the FDA requires CDISC standards — SDTM, ADaM and Define-XML — for drug studies that started after 17 December 2016. Most sponsors build these datasets in SAS.
The demand is large. On 8 October 2026, ClinicalTrials.gov listed 17,776 recruiting interventional trials with a site in the United States and 2,847 with a site in Canada. Every one of them produces data that someone has to program, check and report.
Our course follows the same FDA and CDISC standards used by sponsors and CROs across North America. You learn live with trainers who have 10 to 20+ years of industry experience, and you can ask questions in real time.
