Two certificates, one programme: BCRI + LSSSDC (NSQF-aligned)

With BCRI’s Dual Certification, you earn two certificates from one programme. The first is your BCRI course certificate. The second is a national skill certificate from the Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC), which you get after you pass its offline exam. The LSSSDC certificate follows India’s National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF).

You get dual certification on our clinical research, CDM, pharmacovigilance and CRA/CRC programmes, including both PG Diplomas and the Advanced Diploma. It is not part of the Clinical SAS, Medical Coding or Regulatory Affairs courses.

What is clinical research?

Clinical research is how a new drug, vaccine or medical device is tested on human volunteers to find out if it is safe and if it works. It also studies how diseases develop, how well current treatments work and how common an illness is. A new medicine reaches patients only after this evidence is collected.

Is BCRI a recognised clinical research institute in Bangalore?

Yes. BCRI is an LSSSDC-recognised training provider and a Skill India / NSDC training partner for the life sciences sector. Our processes are ISO 9001:2015 certified. We offer diploma, certificate and short-term clinical research courses, online and at our HSR Layout campus in Bangalore.

What is BCRI’s Dual Certification?

On eligible programmes you earn two certificates. You get a BCRI course certificate when you finish the course. You get a second, NSQF-aligned certificate from the Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) when you pass its offline exam. Dual certification covers our clinical research, CDM, pharmacovigilance and CRA/CRC programmes. It is not part of the Clinical SAS, Medical Coding or Regulatory Affairs courses.

What is NSQF and why does an NSQF-aligned certificate matter?

NSQF (National Skills Qualifications Framework) is India’s national system for grading skill qualifications into 10 levels. It is run by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET). An NSQF-aligned certificate is tested against national standards, so employers across India can trust it. It also helps you move between skill training and further study.

Which clinical research course is best after B.Pharm, MSc, BSc or life sciences?

Most graduates start with the PG Diploma in Clinical Research or the Advanced Diploma. If you already know the job you want, pick a shorter course for it: Pharmacovigilance for drug safety, CDM for clinical data, CRA/CRC for site monitoring, or Clinical SAS for programming.

Does BCRI offer online clinical research courses?

Yes. All our main clinical research courses run as live online classes. You get the same trainers, syllabus and placement help as classroom students, plus class recordings and notes.

What is the difference between a PG Diploma and a certificate course?

A PG Diploma takes 5.5 to 7.5 months, depending on the specialisation, and covers several areas of clinical research from start to finish. A certificate course takes 1.5 to 3 months and focuses on one area, such as PV, CDM or Clinical SAS.

Does BCRI provide placement assistance?

Yes. Our placement team helps with your resume, mock interviews, job alerts and career guidance. Over 500 students have been placed in CROs, pharma companies and healthcare firms. The employer makes the final choice based on your interview, so a job is not guaranteed.

Which course is best for pharmacovigilance jobs?

Start with our Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs certificate. It leads straight to drug safety jobs. Adding MedDRA Coding makes your profile stronger for safety data roles.

Which course is best for clinical data management jobs?

Take the Clinical Research and Clinical Data Management certificate, or a PG Diploma that includes CDM. Both prepare you for Clinical Data Coordinator and CDM Associate jobs.

Does BCRI offer medical coding training?

Yes. Our Medical Coding course runs for 3 months. It covers ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS and prepares you for the AAPC CPC exam. You can join online or at our Bangalore campus.

Can working professionals join?

Yes. Classes run Monday to Friday, online and in the classroom. Live online classes are recorded, so if a class clashes with work you can catch up within 3 months. Classroom sessions are not recorded.

Who is eligible to join a clinical research course at BCRI?

Graduates and postgraduates in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and dentistry can join. This includes B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, MBBS, BDS, BHMS and BAMS. Working healthcare professionals are welcome too. You do not need any clinical research experience to start.

How much do BCRI clinical research courses cost?

Fees for our clinical research courses start at about ₹18,000 for short certificates and go up to ₹75,500 for the PG Diploma in Clinical Research. Most courses have a discount. See the course price list for current fees.

Are internships part of the course?

Yes. Every diploma and Advanced Certification programme includes a 3 to 6 month internship with an SMO, CRO or hospital. Most internships are in Bangalore or elsewhere in South India. The host gives you an internship certificate. Some internships are paid and some are not; the host decides any stipend. For online students the internship is optional, and you need to move to the internship city.

What are Value Added Programmes (VAP) and college workshops?

BCRI runs free and low-cost workshops and Value Added Programmes (VAPs) for pharmacy and science colleges. One example is a 36-hour VAP at Krupanidhi College of Pharmacy. Students get hands-on practice with tools such as Clinevo. Colleges can ask for a workshop or VAP on our workshops page.
