This policy explains how Bangalore Clinical Research Institute (BCRI), run by Prequel Scientific Services LLP, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use www.bcri.in, contact us, apply for a course, pay fees or verify a certificate. By using the website or sharing your details with us, you agree to this policy.

Who we are

BCRI is a clinical research training institute at 19/19 Chandrodaya Complex, 2nd Floor, 24th Main, Agara Sector 1, HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560102, India. Prequel Scientific Services LLP is responsible for the personal data described here.

What we collect

  • Enquiries and demo bookings: name, mobile/WhatsApp number, email, course of interest, preferred mode (online or classroom) and any question you type.
  • Course applications: name, contact details, city, nationality, qualifications, optional LinkedIn profile, chosen course and mode, and your acceptance of the declaration. After your advisor call we may ask for a photograph and copies of your certificates.
  • Payments: name, contact details, course, amount and payment status. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on our payment partner’s secure page (Razorpay); we never see or store your full card number.
  • Students: attendance, assessments and course progress, kept by BCRI and our learning platform (LMS).
  • Certificates: your name, certificate title, course, certificate code and issue date.
  • Website use: device and browser type, pages visited, the site you came from and an approximate location, collected through analytics tools if enabled.

How we use your data

  • To answer your enquiry, book a demo class and advise you on courses.
  • To process your application, enrol you, collect fees and run your classes.
  • To issue certificates and let employers verify them.
  • To help with internships and placement assistance, when you ask for it.
  • To send course updates and, if you agree, information about new courses and events. You can opt out at any time.
  • To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and improve our courses and website.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting duties.

Certificate verification

Anyone who enters a valid certificate code, or scans the QR code printed on a certificate, on our verify certificate page can see the student name, certificate title, course, certificate code and issue date. This lets employers confirm that a certificate is genuine. These pages are hidden from search engines and lookups are rate-limited. Contact us if you believe your certificate details are wrong.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is needed with:

  • Service providers who work for us: website hosting, our CRM and email/SMS/WhatsApp tools, Google Workspace, the payment gateway (Razorpay) and our learning platform. Some may store data outside India.
  • Internship hosts and employers, only when you ask for internship or placement support, so they can consider you.
  • LSSSDC and its assessment agencies, if you take the LSSSDC assessment under Dual Certification.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.
  • A successor business, if all or part of BCRI is transferred, under the same protections.

Cookies and third-party content

We use analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta and Microsoft Clarity, through Google Tag Manager) to understand how the website is used and to measure our ads. Visitors in the UK, the EU and Switzerland are asked before these cookies are set. Anyone can change their choice with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, or block and delete cookies in their browser settings.

YouTube videos on our pages load only when you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Maps are provided by Google Maps. When you use these, or chat with us on WhatsApp, the provider’s own privacy policy applies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data while we are in touch with you about courses, and student and payment records for as long as we need them to run the course and meet legal and accounting duties. Certificate records are kept so that certificates can be verified in the future. When we no longer need your data, we delete or anonymise it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and trusted service providers. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly on any breach as the law requires.
